23.02 - the end of the trading week is slow and good for Asian shares; European banking system seems to be corrupted

As the trading week is coming to an end, Asia finally displays some recovery. Shares are climbing back but they are still not strong enough to give the greenback a srtrong push back. Investors in the USA are still fighting for their payoffs as the prices for oil are steady.

American oil investors are waiting to be paid.

shale oil and gas

US oil output has breached 10 million barrels per day point and the industry is on its straight way to the record that was set in 1970. And, as the output volumes are growing some of the investors are still waiting for their payoffs.

Shale investors have put billions and billions of dollars into the blasthole development for oil and gas fields. This allowed American oil industry to finally end the deficit that it experienced in the last decades. But the years of lacking output have resulted in the lack of money that could be paid investors.

Investors and Wall Street are now running out of patience, as the investors are plain asking for “some cash”. They say that it will be enough for the companies to simply shift assets from one place into another.

For now the shale share prices are still recovering from the 2014 crisis.

European banking system under a threat.

Ukraine, Syria, Latvian banking crisis, elections and even Oscars – when will the Russians stop?

Or is the question rather when will the people stop seeing Russian meddling everywhere? Every political and financial scandal seems to always be with the Russian print inside. And, while some of the conflicts would have never happened if it hadn’t been for Russia, some of them seem too artificial.

Just a few days ago we told you about Latvian banking crisis, that seems to be of Russian making. But, as was predicted it is beginning to grow into a real international scandal right before our eyes.

Now the whole banking system of Europe is under a lot of suspicion. If Russian bribers could go as high as the Latvian central bank Governor Ilmars Rimsevics, where else could they be?

Rimsevics was detained for two days and after that released, but now there is a strong suspicion that he is a target for the Russian security services. And, let us remind you, that Rimsevics is a member of the European Central Bank’s governing council. Of course, he wasn’t slow into calling for the press conference to negate all the ties that might be connecting him to Russia, but the suspicion only became stronger after that.
