Published on a weekly basis (every Thursday usually) the unemployment claims announcement measures the number of people that filled out unemployment forms for the very first time in the past week. The lower the number, the better it is for the US currency, once the number gets higher than the forecast the currency will suffer a negative effect. Also known as one of the first economic indicators, the base of the US economy is the man power (like every other economy). No jobs means – less income and more money spend on employment insurance. Advance Retail Sales USD

The Retails Sales announcement measures the value difference of sales in the retail sector, including the car industry. It shows wide resolution information about what people spend money on! Which obviously affects the economic activity of the sector, once again we are talking about the USA but, every country has its own retail sales announcement, the impact though may not be as strong as the US announcement.Once announced the USD currency will get benefits if the result passes the forecast, otherwise the outcome will be negative for the currency.

Even though the car industry holds almost 20% of the US retail sales, their volatility prevents them from appearing in the Core Retail Sales announcement. Once announced the USD currency will get benefits if the result passes the forecast, otherwise the outcome will be negative for the currency.
