The world of trading contains different people in it. Just like our real world. And why are we so different? Well, because trading skills are not something you can be born with – it is something you acquire along the way. And so, while you acquire this skill you learn to do something else and get another job. And here is the thing – if you are planning to be a trader in the future it is better to choose a job that would make the transfer process easier for you.
But is there such a thing in the first place? Are there really professions from which it is easier to go into trading?
Let’s see!
1. IT.
2. Economics.
3. Lawyers.
4. Real estate developers.
5. Investigative reporters.
6. Anyone who likes trading, really.
1. IT.
Of course the first place is going to be occupied by computer science. It is no wonder that those who are good with computers are turning into traders with such ease. They understand the principal of working of the trading platform and can easily switch between them. Plus, they tend to follow tendencies and their ability to read the code easily turns into their ability to read the chart.
2. Economics.
Well yeah – the better you are with money, the better you are going to understand the markets. In case you used to be in finances or used to do taxes or were teaching economy in college be sure – you are going to fit into the trading world just fine.
3. Lawyers.
Lawyers are going to be good in trading just because they know what it is like – to hold so much information in their heads. Studying and practicing law gives one a horrific ability to study, learn and instantly remember everything that they have just studied. Plus, they know exactly what to do with money as they are not going to bend the law.
4. Real estate developers.
That might be a stretch but real estate developers are going to naturally be good in trading just because they know what it is like – invest and risk. It is their job; they do that every single day. Plus, they not only hold their own finances in their hands, but they are also responsible for the money and investments of other people. That means that they are going to be as careful as it gets when it comes to trading.
5. Investigative reporters.
Interesting thought, isn’t it? But what gives us control over trading? That’s right – understanding of the market. But in order to be fully successful one also needs to understand intermarket correlation and what news lead to what movements of the market. And investigative reports already do that for living, don’t they? They are naturally good in seeing the connections and even predict stuff. So it is only natural that they are going to be good at trading.
6. Anyone who likes trading, really.
Well, in reality while all these professions are probably going to be good in trading it all comes down to you either liking the process or not. No matter what background you have and what you were doing before if you like what you do you are going to succeed in it. But of course, having previous knowledge that might help in your new career are certainly going to be of great help.
